Questions and answers about insurance
What benefits are included in the accident insurance?
The employee is insured against the consequences of occupational accidents during a work assignment with SUVA (Swiss Accident Insurance Company). The insurance begins when the employee commences work and ends on the last working day. From this, the employee receives a daily allowance of 80% of the wages subject to AHV up to the UVG maximum wage from the third day following the accident (waiting period) in the event of full incapacity for work.
If you have had an accident, please report this to us immediately and fill out the report form.Is a freelancer also insured for sick days ("KTG") with sallis?
Yes it is. The freelancer (employee) is only entitled to compensation for lost wages for working days lost due to illness during a work assignment, from the date on which the contractually agreed commencement of his activity is. With a two-day waiting period in the event of total incapacity to work, it corresponds to 80% of the average salary subject to AHV, provided that the incapacity to work is at least 25%. In the event of illness, the employee is insured for 720 consecutive days (within 900 days), provided the company is subject to an ave GAV or the employee fulfills the BVG obligation. In all other cases, the freelancer (employee) is insured for 60 consecutive days (within 360 days). In the event of a pre-existing illness of the employee, the insurance (Zurich Insurance Company) provides reduced benefits that are binding for the employee (uninterrupted period of employment up to 6 months, 4 weeks; up to 9 months, 6 weeks; up to 12 months, 2 months; up to 5 Years, 4 months). If the sick employee travels abroad for more than three months, the insurance will only provide benefits in certain cases. Insurance is compulsory for the employee. The premium for daily sickness allowance insurance (KTG) is shared by the employer and employee. The employee is entitled to transfer to individual daily sickness benefit insurance within 90 days of the end of the assignment.
